Porsche 911 S/T: The New Air-Cooled King?
The Porsche 911 S/T, created to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the 911, has quickly established itself as one of the most desirable modern Porsches ever built.
Featuring a naturally aspirated 4.0-litre flat-six producing 518 horsepower, a manual transmission, and the lightest curb weight of any current 911, the S/T was designed as the ultimate analog driving experience.
Production was limited to 1,963 units (referencing the year the original 911 was introduced), and demand far outstripped supply. As a result, secondary market prices have soared, with several examples selling at auction for more than $500,000 — nearly double the car's original MSRP of approximately $290,000.
The S/T's Heritage Design Package, which pays homage to classic racing Porsches with period-correct color schemes and interior details, is particularly sought after and commands additional premiums.
Market analysts view the 911 S/T as a future blue-chip collectible, comparable to the Carrera GT and 911 R in terms of long-term investment potential.
